I please to find here below an important communication sent this morning by Mr. Emmanuel Perrin - Head of Specialist Watchmakers Distribution of the Richemont Group:
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Jean-Marc Pontroué as Officine Panerai Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 April 2018.
Mr. Pontroué joined Montblanc in 2000 as Executive Vice President Product & Strategies Development and member of the Executive Board. He then moved to Roger Dubuis in 2011 as General Manager and became the Maison’s Chief Executive Officer in February 2012.
Mr. Bonati has indicated his intention to retire and he will mentor Jean-Marc Pontroué until June, ensuring a comprehensive induction and introduction to the DNA and the partners of the Maison.

Dear All,
I am pleased to present you the new project PANERAI TRAITS and the press release to announce it.
The project is a digital exploration of the Traits of the Panerai identity and is composed of four chapters (launched one every three weeks) dedicated to four strategic themes of our brand territory: LUCE (light), DESIGN, MARE (sea), INNOVAZIONE (innovation) – the words are kept in Italian to convey one more key aspect of our brand, our nationality.
In each chapter, an international influencer linked to one of the themes will tell his story through one film and a series of images that will be gradually posted on his social media accounts, as well as on ours and on the dedicated project website www.paneraitraits.com, online from Feb 5th and available in English only. Each influencer will wear a different Panerai watch in the film and images.
· 1st chapter (Feb 5th) will be LUCE and the protagonist will be Jason M Peterson, internationally renowned US photographer with more than 1 Million followers on Instagram, wearing a Luminor Due PAM674
The following material will be available on request:
· 6 B/W images created by Jason Peterson (three with our watch PAM674, three without)
· the video in Hi Res
· JP portrait image
· Panerai Traits press release with JP bio
· In-design kit to adapt the press release in your language
Please note that the information and content about each influencer cannot be disclosed before the launch date of each chapter.

The first chapter of the project is introduced with a short movie named “Chasing Light” starring the world famous photographer Jason M.Peterson and his pam 674 ( Luminor Due).

The third chapter of the project Panerai Traits, MARE (the sea), marks the debut of the French free-diving champion Guillaume Néry as Panerai Global Ambassador.
In the new film, the champion who has broken four world records describes his great passion with spectacular images of the depths of the sea, wearing his Luminor Submersible 1950 Amagnetic PAM1389. “It’s not only about sports or performance. It’s not only about art or aesthetics. It’s all of the above, combined.”

The protagonist is Massimo Bottura, Italian founder chef of three-Michelin star restaurant Osteria Francescana in Modena, Italy.

Λογικά ναι...
Όμως μετά και τις τελευταίες στρατηγικές κινήσεις του group, μένει να δούμε πως θα κινηθούν από δω και πέρα.
Διαφαίνεται πως προσπαθούν να αντιγράψουν το μοντέλο της Rolex.
Να επανέλθει η Panerai στο προσκήνιο και να γίνει hot ξανά.
Μη ξεχνάμε ότι στις αρχές των 00s και μέχρι πριν 6-7 χρόνια, ήταν από λίγο ως πολύ δύσκολο να πάρει κάποιος το Panerai που ήθελε.
Υπήρχε σχεδόν πάντα αναμονή και πολλές φορές δεν έμεναν ρολόγια για να καλύψουν τη ζήτηση.
Με μικρές ως ανύπαρκτες εκπτώσεις...
Η άποψη μου είναι πως από το φθινόπωρο, θα αλλάξουν πράγματα και καταστάσεις...
