The first mission was a total failure, so total, the British didn’t even notice they had been attacked.
His second mission in Sept. 1941 ended with the sinking of the British tanker “Fiona Shell” in the unprotected bay of Gibraltar. For this, Vesco received the Silver Medal of Military Valour
